Overview
George is experienced in all aspects of estate and business succession planning and estate and trust administration. He provides counsel in matters concerning federal and state income taxation and tax-exempt organizations. George’s practice spans all aspects of the transmission and preservation of family wealth. He has assisted clients with integrating their personal estate planning objectives with their business succession planning to address each client’s unique situation, which often includes their charitable objectives.
Taxation
George’s experience in matters concerning federal and state income taxation encompasses the taxation of trusts and estates, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations. George prepares complex income tax, estate tax & gift tax returns. When tax problems arise, George represents clients before federal and state taxing authorities.
Charities
George also counsels tax-exempt organizations with complex issues of federal tax law and provides counsel with all phases of charitable planning in which he represents charities as well as individual donors.
Estate & Trusts
George is extensively experienced with the administration of trust funds and decedents’ estates, including probate assets, non-probate assets, and retirement assets. In addition to counseling individual and institutional clients with these matters, he also assists with the estate, gift and income taxation issues that are frequently encountered by trustees & executors. George also brings his wealth of experience assisting clients with family wealth controversies regarding estate and trust administration, will contests, trust reformations and other fiduciary matters.
